Congratulations to Gianluca Farina who came 2nd in the Men's Epee (to Jon Willis 15-11). From the L32 Gianluca beat Quentin Berriman, Tom Bennett, Tristan Lane & Tom Cadman.  Gianluca's semi-final fight was extremely exciting against Tom Cadman.  Tom was 14-9 ahead but Gianluca fought brilliantly to bring it back to 14-14 and a nailbiting final hit won him the fight.  

 

Chris Kelly & Nick Perry were both L16.  In the Women's Epee Jo Beadsworth came 10th with Lea-Anne Lee, Harriet Lamborn & Emily Hepburn L32.

There were 37 Haverstock fencers on Sunday, which is an amazing number of fencers from one club, with many of our juniors joining the senior competition circuit.  Well done and thanks to everyone who fenced, and those that stayed to cheer. 

 

ps well done to Jo Beadsworth who came an admirable 36th in the Women's Sabre on Saturday - it may be the start of Haverstock Sabre Club!
