A&C Black London £4.99 off Amazon

This is an OK book if you're just starting the sport and wish to know about the basics of all three weapons. It includes very detailed diagrams of all the basic fencing actions for each sword (all the individual parries, attacks, and basic tactics) and was clearly written by an enthusiast.

If you're a beginner to fencing, or know someone who is new to fencing, then I'd recommend this book as a birthday or Christmas present. If you've been fencing for a while, then you probably won't learn anything new - just stick with your current coach's instructions and classes.
